The Studio offers two types of felting workshops.
Needle felting, which is a dry felting technique to create objects by using special needles and wool roving.
Broach, ornament, or a keepsake are objects made in the beginner workshop.
Figurines of animals or "little people" are made in the advanced workshop.
Wet felting, is a technique which uses soap, water, and a bit of an elbow grease to create a beautiful shawl out of high quality merino wool. Students design their own garment with different colours of merino wool roving.
Either type of felting is a rewarding art form, with a formidable skill set.
These workshops are offered as private classes by request only. Send us a line if you are interested in learning this unique art. Three participants minimum to arrange a private workshop.
NEEDLE FELTING
